About
Hey there! Let me introduce myself…
I am a Stanford University (‘20) graduate, holding degrees in International Relations, Theater & Performance Studies, and Music. At Stanford, my extracurricular activities were similarly broad: singing with The Stanford Mendicants A Cappella, serving as a RA, interning in The Office of Condoleezza Rice at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and performing in various theatrical productions. Many of my most gratifying explorations have been in world economics, business strategy, the arts, and entertainment, having pursued both creative and analytical roles in environments ranging from theatre and music ensembles to business development and marketing strategy teams.
Music and performance are passions that I have continually cultivated throughout my life. I have been fortunate to train as singer, actor, and performer and gain extensive experience through involvement in Musical Theater productions, cabarets, a cappella, and musical concerts. I have also enjoyed expanding my training to include opera and classical art songs and arias in a variety of languages.
To me, music and performance are thrilling because they are the purest forms of emotionality and human connection. Being able to contextualize, introspect, and express a work of art is a sincere privilege. I am drawn to performance because it is didactic and endlessly challenging. Finding the balance, for example, between technicality and emotionality is profoundly exciting. And, it is maintaining this balance that has transfixed me, whether in artistic pursuits, professional endeavors, or academic study. I hope to pursue this understanding, further develop my skills, and share with others art which I love.
